End-of-year checklist

Take stock in your health – and take these three steps to improve it before the new year begins.

As we prepare to say goodbye to 2015, it’s the perfect time to reflect on your health. Nobody can be perfect all the time. But be honest: Did you make the most of your healthy opportunities this year? If not, then it’s not too late to make some progress so that you start 2016 on the right foot. Here are three very simple steps to help you tie up the year with a healthy bow:

    1. Take your Well-Being Assessment (WBA). Your WBA gives you a picture of your health right now so that you can decide what steps to take next.

 

  1. Set up a Well-Being Plan and trackers. Use the results from your WBA to create a Well-Being Plan. Your plan lets you choose three focus areas and work toward your goals. Focus areas include:
    • Healthy Eating
    • Weight Management
    • Stress Management
    • Fitness and Exercise
    • Tobacco Cessation

    Your personalized trackers help you record and monitor your activities. You can also set goals in each focus area.

  2. Make your health screening appointments. What health screenings should you have this year? Don’t put them off. Make the appointments you need now, and end the year on a healthy note!
