You don’t need to be an Olympic athlete to perform at your peak. Here are a few all-star tips so that you can go for the gold – and feel your best– every day:

  1. Sleep like a champion. Athlete or not, you need plenty of sleep (at least seven hours each night). Go to sleep and wake up at the same time each day, and turn off the TV and your smartphone at least an hour before bedtime.
  2. Eat to win. Choose foods that pack a nutritional punch and skip the junk. The best way to do this is to “eat the rainbow” – meaning a wide variety of colorful fruits and veggies. And avoid foods that offer little nutritional value, like processed and sugary foods.
  3. Put fitness in first place. Get moving for at least 30 minutes each day. Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood or a sweat-fest at the gym, your body needs to move. So make fitness a priority, and get moving!
